Digital Newsletter
We did not get as many replies for this request as I had hoped, by agreeing to this it does not mean you can't have a hard copy we will still print enough for all members. You will still be able to pick one up at one of the meetings after it is issued.
cheers

Starting on the Member's page a monthly update on
HOW I GROW CARNATIONS
From March 2020 the society meetings will be held in the
clubhouse of St George's Church Durham Road Gateshead
on a the first Wednesday of the month
Directions:- From Newcastle take Durham Road A167 towards Low Fell, take the first left after the church at the
traffic lights on Dryden Road (Left after the Snooker Hall) and follow the road round taking the first left again after the fire station, parking is in either street adjacent to the church. The meetings will be held in the clubhouse. From Low Fell take the Durham Road and at the set of traffic lights at the snooker hall take the right turn and then first left after the fire station, parking as above.
Durham Road is well served by all buses from the region and stop outside the church.
Congratulations to the Lancs & Cheshire Carnation Society on winning not just a Gold Medal but also the Trophy for the Best Carnation display at the Southport Flower Show, well done to you all.
Also many congratulations to Trevor Hogg on winning the BNCS Silver Medal Card for his vase of five Heracles, one of the best vases of Heracles that I have seen for a long time.

Update
Due to the successful rollout of the vaccine the government has indicated that all things going as planned there should be a substantial easing of the restrictions in early June.
If this happens we would hope to hold our first meeting on July the 7th, we could then hold our postponed 2020 AGM and discuss the society returning to normal.
This is of course all dependant on how the next few months progress we will give more details as and when the government releases more information.
Our members safety is always at the forefront of all our decisions please take care and look after yourselves.
